Alden Huschle

Alden Huschle is the lead singer and guitarist of Seattle based rock band Peace for Dead Princess. He is primarily self taught on the guitar and has developed an unorthodox style of play that typically involves rhythmic finger picking combined with jazz oriented melodic phrasing. He is generally seen playing a metallic ice blue Fender ‘62 Deluxe Stratocaster reissue named “Luna” but is known to experiment with acoustic and baritone sounds as well. Alden is heavily influenced by the early work of John Mayer, specifically his first three studio albums and all of his live recordings. Khruangbin’s Mark Speer is another major influence for Alden and he defines his first time seeing Speer play live as a pivotal moment in his life.

Collin Crose

Collin grew up in the last major town before Snoqualmie Pass, North Bend Washington. He started banging on empty cans with homemade drumsticks before he could walk and at the age of seven his dad bought him his first drum set. Piano lessons were forced upon him by his parents but the drums were always what he came home from school to play for hours on end. His drumming hero is John Bonham from Led Zeppelin and takes influence from all of the great rock percussionists of the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s. His greatest passion is music and his band.

Dawson Van Cise

Dawson is the bass player for P.F.D.P. as well as being a guitar player, singer, and songwriter. He was raised in the suburbia of Snoqualmie, tucked between the Washington Cascades. Beginning his musical career at the age of 12, Dawson takes heavy influence from many of the great musicians of the past century, such as the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and Bob Dylan while also taking influence from modern musicians like Jack White, Dr Dog, and Julian Casablancas. His unique songwriting style blends the wide variety of music that he listens to, resulting in an interesting ‘pop’ sense of melody that breaks across traditional genre boundaries.  Dawson’s drive to build a cultural, personal, and musical statement around his music is only outweighed by his passion and love for the rich complexity and diversity of the art form.
